It’s that time of the year again…time to start thinking about gift ideas! The holidays are fastly approaching and I wanted to create a gift guide for anyone that loves jigsaw puzzles. These gifts are great ideas for puzzle beginners and experts!

Last year (2021), I created a gift guide with a variety of puzzles from different brands such as Areaware, Le Puzz, Piecework, Rifle Paper Co., Springbok, Cloudberries, and so many more. Here are 25+ NEW ideas to make your puzzling experience even more awesome. As a puzzle professional, I know these are great for any puzzler in your life. There are a variety of puzzle accessories, cute merch, and of course, lots of puzzle ideas in this gift guide! 😊

Puzzle Master Hallmark Ornament

Puzzle Master Hallmark Ornament
$12.99

Hallmark comes out with new holiday ornaments every year and this year there is a new ornament perfect for puzzle lovers. If anyone you know has a passion for assembling 500 or 1000-piece puzzles, this will be perfect to hang on their Christmas tree! I love the blue puzzle pieces — it reminds me of Ravensburger puzzles.

How to Make a Custom Photo Puzzle by Karen Puzzles

Ravensburger Custom Photo Puzzle
$29.99–$59.99

Custom photo puzzles have been around for a while but the quality hasn’t always been perfect. Instead of purchasing from a photo or personalization website, order your puzzle from Ravensburger! A custom photo puzzle from Ravensburger is perfect for any holiday, birthday, and occasion you can think about it. It’s such a thoughtful gift idea for anyone you might know whether it might be a friend, spouse, or family member.

“Ravensburger puzzles are super high quality and their custom photo puzzles are no exception.” — Karen Puzzles, YouTuber (over 195k subscribers)

Make sure to watch Karen’s video for all the tips for creating the best custom photo puzzle — the photos you choose are very important so it makes for a good puzzle! You’ll want to choose photos that have a variety of colors, textures, and patterns so it’s actually fun to puzzle.

Puzzle Box Stand

ZAKCO Puzzle Box Stand
$24.99

When I puzzle, I can’t ever seem to find the right way to stand up my puzzle box. I can’t count how many times I’ve knocked the box over and tumbled pieces onto the floor. This puzzle box stand is perfect for displaying the puzzle box cover while you are working on a puzzle. To make it extra special, you can get the hardwood puzzle box stand engraved!

Piecework Mini Puzzles, Socks, & Candles
$15–$36

Piecework makes some of the most beautiful puzzles I have ever seen. Their puzzles are WORTH the price but they have plenty of mini puzzles and accessories at a smaller price point. The Piecework mini puzzles are 70-pieces, perfect for a screen break or coffee break! There are a series of zodiac puzzles and greeting card puzzles. The mini-puzzles are $20 each but there are bundles of the zodiac puzzles for $48 which includes 3 puzzles.

Piecework has so many fun accessories as well — everything from socks, hats, candles, and tote bags. These accessories would make a great pairing gift with one of their mini puzzles, 500-piece, or 1000-piece puzzles. Piecework also has some bundles with their candles and featured puzzles!

Springbok Puzzle Sorting Trays
$19.95

These puzzle sorting trays are perfect if you need to separate puzzle pieces by a certain color, pattern, or puzzle piece shape. The trays nest into each other and store nicely as well. They are perfect for sorting the edge pieces of a puzzle. I had no idea I would love this set of rainbow puzzle sorting trays but, they are super useful!

Le Puzz Sticker Pack, Bumper Sticker, Tote Bag

Le Puzz Stickers, Bumper Sticker, & Tote Bag
$6–$45

Le Puzz has some of the most well-designed puzzle packaging in existence! Their puzzle boxes are just so fun. You can learn more about how Le Puzz designed its brand and all in my deep dive article about Le Puzz.

A great gift idea from Le Puzz would be a 500-piece or 1000-piece puzzle (their Series 3 collection is coming out soon), paired with their stickers, bumper sticker, or the super awesome sport tote bag. The tote bag is just so beautiful — it’s so soft and can hold up to 6 puzzles (or anything else your heart desires)! I just can’t resist buying a puzzle or sticker sheet that says, “The Wonderfully Whimsical Weirdo Wigsaw Wuzzle Wompany.” 😂

Four Point Puzzles The Planets Puzzle
$58

This 2000-piece puzzle from Four Point Puzzles features 8 individual-shaped puzzles of the planets! The images of the puzzles came from NASA and the puzzle also includes a 2-sided poster. This is such a unique puzzle and great for any advanced puzzlers out there. The Four Point Puzzles are such great quality, I would recommend the Several Found Things (Numbers, Letters, Shapes) puzzle for an easier puzzle.

Funny Puzzle Tee

Funny Jigsaw Puzzle T-Shirt
$17.99

Here is a quick and easy purchase from Amazon — a silly puzzle t-shirt! It reads: Things I do in my spare time: Solve jigsaw puzzles, look at all my jigsaw puzzles, research jigsaw puzzles, talk about jigsaw puzzles, think about jigsaw puzzles, and dream about jigsaw puzzles. I couldn’t think of a more relatable and funny shirt to add to your t-shirt collection.

MoMa Shaped Puzzle from Galison

Galison MoMA Frank Stella Shaped Jigsaw Puzzle
$17.40

If you have an artist friend, this 750-piece-shaped puzzle is a fantastic idea. This puzzle features the colorful and geometric painting by Frank Stella. This puzzle would be an absolute delight to sort the puzzle pieces, it’s so colorful, bright, and happy! I would recommend exploring Amazon and Galison for more fun artist puzzles — the quality of the puzzles are great and they are affordable.

Different Puzzles — Prickly Playground & Gravity Gallery
$29–36

Different Puzzles are well…different. The image on the front of the box is really a hint, the image of the final puzzle is a little bit different! I love how this brand embraces the “awkwardness of puzzling — the neck soreness the intense focus, the brief moments of triumph — and the general absurdity of cutting up an image only to piece it all back together”.

The artwork of these puzzles reminds me of the artist, Salvador Dali — they are incredibly unique and I can’t wait to try one out for myself. You can pick up a 500-piece puzzle for $29 and a 1000-piece puzzle for $36. The hidden surprises of the puzzle seem so fun — like a mini easter egg hunt.

The Jigsaw Puzzle Book

The Jigsaw Puzzle: Piecing Together a History Book
$56.59

This book features the origins and the histories of jigsaw puzzles! If you have a puzzle nerd in your life, this is a great find. It is a fascinating look at puzzle beginnings as an educational tool (dissected maps) for children in the mid-1700s, to the challenging puzzles of today, and features some of the world’s famous puzzle fans, including Stephen King and Queen Elizabeth II! From what I’ve heard from Karen Puzzles, it’s super interesting and informative and is definitely on my wishlist.

Ravensburger Karen Puzzles: Puzzles on Puzzles | 3000-pieces
$49.99

Karen Puzzles announced her very first puzzle at the National Jigsaw Competition in San Diego California and I can’t say enough how amazing this puzzle is. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one — not sure when I will complete it since this puzzle is 48 inches by 32 inches but it’s a MUST-HAVE for any puzzler out there. Learn more about this amazing puzzle in her video!

I love how this puzzle shows Karen’s journey — from her graphic designer days to her DIY days on YouTube, I have been a longtime follower of Karen Kavett for quite some time! The puzzle also features a few puzzles — the gradient puzzle in the background is the 5000 Colours puzzle from The Play Group ($150 on The Play Group website, $160 on Amazon), and the puzzle pieces on top are from the Ravensburger Krypt Gradient puzzle (631 pieces for $22.99 on Amazon). The Ravensburger Krypt puzzles are a fun challenge for sure, I can’t wait to complete my gradient puzzle!

YeahPuzzles Earrings

YeahPuzzles Puzzle Piece Earrings
$4

These teeny handmade stainless steel earrings make a great stocking stuffer and pairing gift with a puzzle! They are available in silver and gold. And the most important part: they actually fit together!! They make a great accessory for puzzle lovers.

Completing the Puzzle

Completing the Puzzle Subscription
$25/month

Completing the Puzzle is a puzzle subscription where you can rent puzzles for a fraction of the price! With this puzzle subscription, you can sustainably rent puzzles and work on unlimited puzzles (one at a time). This subscription is perfect for folks that like to puzzle but don’t have all the storage space for lots of puzzles.

eeBoo — Magical Amsterdam & Moths Puzzles
$23.99

eeBoo puzzles are some of my favorites — I love how nicely the puzzle pieces lock in together. You won’t have a hard time doing a puzzle pickup with one of these puzzles — I guarantee you it will all stay together! Each year, eeBoo releases a few new puzzles and their illustrations are some of my favorites (I have at least 20 eeBoo puzzles at home currently). You can pick up any of their 500-piece puzzles or 1000-piece puzzles for $23.99.

Areaware little puzzle thing® — Series 7: À la Carte
$15

I absolutely love the miniature puzzles and Areaware has a whole series of them! They recently released series 7 of their little puzzle thing® mini puzzle brand. Each food dish was inspired by past series — french fries were from series 2, the cupcake was from series 3, and the rainbow jelly is a new puzzle that was never released from series 1.

These puzzles can be completed in under an hour and are roughly 70 pieces. If I were to pick any from this series it would be the Chicago hot dog, cupcake, tonkotsu ramen, and rainbow jelly! These mini puzzles make such a great stocking stuffer. Be sure to check out some of their other puzzles — they make some cool gradient puzzles as well.

Wentworth Mini Mindful Collection
$13.50–$20.50

Wentworth Wooden Puzzles make some of the most beautiful wooden puzzles in existence. They are known to be very high-end puzzles and last a lifetime — I’ve heard their puzzles get passed down into families as heirlooms. I have a few of them including a personalized one my family gave to me as a Christmas present with one of the photos from my wedding.

They recently announces their mini mindful collection, a mini puzzle collection that has puzzles in 2 sizes — 40 pieces and 80 pieces. These are great to do anywhere you can think off — maybe on the plane, on your nightstand, at your desk, or in the bathroom (just kidding on that last one but I won’t judge!). There are over 30 different mini-mindful puzzles to choose from, which one would you get?

Can you tell I like puzzles just a little bit?

Thank you for reading my in-depth review of some of the best puzzle gift ideas for the puzzler in your life! What was your favorite from this list? There is something for everyone on this list — from new puzzlers to expert puzzlers.

Featured Puzzles from my Collection (October 2022)

P.S. if you want to gift me a puzzle, check with me first to see what I currently have in my collection — I have over 200 puzzles in my collection and almost 50 puzzles on my wishlist!
